London, 27 June 2025 – Ugne Buraciene, Group CEO of leading European financial services provider payabl., has been awarded ‘PayTech Leadership – Visionary CEO’ at the 2025 PayTech Awards, hosted by FinTech Futures. The award recognises a C-level executive who has played an instrumental role in shaping a payments business and has gone above and beyond their day-to-day responsibilities to drive positive industry change.
Since joining payabl. in 2020, Ugne transformed the company from a niche player into a fast-growing fintech scaleup. Under her leadership, payabl. has experienced triple-digit revenue growth, expanded its team tenfold, secured two EMI licences, and launched its modular payments platform, payabl.one.
Ugne’s influence extends far beyond company metrics. A committed advocate for inclusion in fintech, she has achieved a rare 50/50 gender balance in payabl.’s leadership team, mentors rising talent through programmes like RiseUp at Money20/20, and actively promotes DEI and fintech education through partnerships with Work in Fintech and KidIT Cyprus.
