London, 18 November 2025 – payabl., a leading European financial technology provider, won three awards recognising their work in the payments space at the Payment Awards 2025. The company won the best Merchant Acquirer award, and was also joint winner of the Merchant Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year alongside its partner Sift. Our group CEO, Ugne Buraciene, was also awarded the Woman in PayTech award.
Now in its 13th year, the Payments Awards celebrate outstanding achievement, innovation, and leadership across the payments industry. Organised by FStech and Retail Systems, the awards recognise the businesses, initiatives, and teams that are reshaping how money moves.
The Merchant Acquirer award recognised payabl.’s work with payabl.one, an API-first, cloud-native, modular platform that unifies financial operations and enables merchants to accept, manage, and send payments from one platform.
payabl. was also awarded the Merchant Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year for its partnership with Sift, which delivers AI-powered fraud prevention for merchants. The work helps merchants prevent fraud, reduce chargebacks, and boost approval rates, whilst easing friction at the checkout stage.
Finally, payabl.'s Group CEO, Ugne Buraciene, was awarded the Woman in PayTech award, following on from the ‘Payments Pioneer Award’ she won last year. The recognition highlights her leadership in growing the company from 30 to 300+ employees and her efforts in launching initiatives to mentor women and educate young talent in fintech.
“Taking home three awards at the 2025 Payments Awards is recognition of the work we’ve been doing at payabl. — scaling the company to over 350 people, launching products like payabl.one that connects every stage of a merchant’s payments journey, and building a leadership team that reflects the diversity of our industry,” said Ugne Buraciene, Group CEO of payabl.
