Group CEO of payabl. Ugne Buraciene, caught up with Russell and Romy from the C-Suite Podcast at Money 20/20 in Amsterdam and revealed her insights about the number one mistake many merchants are making when it comes to payments.
In the interview Ugne discussed the key points from her panel discussion at Money 20/20 with fellow panelists, Diana Carrasco from Lloyds Banking Group and Katherine Henry-Foord from PPRO, about ‘What merchants need to do to improve payments?’. She goes on to explain that there is one clear oversight that many merchants are making.
“Payments is the most important thing for clients and merchants, so not leaving it as a last thought is very important” Ugne Buraciene.
Ugne explains to Romy that merchants need to consider many things when choosing a payments partner such as their company ethos, their clientele and security.
Later in the interview Ugne also introduces the podcast to the new payabl. Amsterdam office and explains why opening an office in the Netherlands felt like a natural progression for the business.
Lastly Ugne mentions that payabl. is about to receive the FCA license in the UK so the expansion into the Netherlands compliments the European and global expansion of payabl.
